The Education and Training Specialist position working independently reports directly to the Chief, Network Division, NLS, and serves under the administrative supervision of that Chief. The incumbent researches the latest trends in information technologies pertaining to digital libraries and their operational and informational systems particularly those used in the 115 network libraries across the nation that comprise the NLS network, searching techniques, distance learning and educational methodologies.

The salary range indicated reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area.
The incumbent of this position will work a flextime work schedule.
