This position is located in the National Endowment for the Arts, Office of the Senior Deputy Chairman, Office of the Deputy Chairman for Management and Budget, Washington, DC.

As the Supervisory Special Assistant you will be responsible for the following tasks:

·         Ensure that the Agency's administrative activities, including grants, contracts, and human resources and similar support activities are conducted to effectively support program operations.

·         Ensure accomplishment of unit's objectives through combined technical and administrative direction of subordinates, through planning/assigning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance and recommending or taking corrective action.

·         Serve on various management teams with Agency-wide responsibilities such as the Personnel Committee and the Information Technology Council. 

·         Collaborates with senior management to achieve Agency-wide efficiencies, effectiveness, and productivity.

·         Serve as an agency technical expert on a number of government-wide requirements, particularly those related to performance accountability under the Office of Management and Budget, Performance Accountability Report, and the Government Performance Results Act.

To qualify for this position, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 performing duties such as assisting a senior level executive in the coordination and oversight of agency policies, processes, procedures, budget and overall operations.

Education: Education is not applicable for this grade level.
