This position will be for 13 months and may be extended in increments of 1 year up to a total of 4 years without competition.
The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is the data collection and dissemination arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. NASS gathers and publishes a vast array of information on every facet of U.S. agriculture, including production, economics, demographics, and the environment.
The incumbent of this position will serve as a Statistical Assistant in the Frames Maintenance Group of the National Operations Center (NOC). The NOC is a large centralized operations center that consolidates data collection, sampling frame maintenance and interviewer training for the Agency. This position supports the various phases of the sampling frame construction, maintenance, and on-going census and survey operations.

GS-06: To qualify for this position at the GS-06 level you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level of federal service manually updating existing information in a database or adding records to a database.
GS-07: To qualify for this position at the GS-07 level you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level of federal service performing searches for specific records in a database or utilizing computer software to identify duplication across records and follow established method for correction.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
