    This is a temporary Student Internship opportunity under the Pathways Program. This Program has as its major objective the employment of students, giving them a chance of work in Federal agencies so they can resume or continue their education without interruption caused by financial pressure. Students appointed may work part-time while school is in session and full-time (if needed to) when students are on vacation period or whenever the school is officially closed. Students are entitled to annual (vacation) leave and sick leave and are eligible to enroll in health benefits after 1 year.

     

    Brief Description of Duties: 

    - Assists photographer with videography and photography projects; helps edits, caption, and produce video products for inclusion in public and internal websites, the photo database and other publications. 

     

    - Uses Adobe Photoshop or other digital editing software to scan and edit photographs, videos and graphic illustrations for use in reports, brochures, publications, and on-screen viewing.

     

    - Assists with providing logistical support for public outreach sessions by preparing or assembling material.

     

    - Inputs data into a variety of automated and manual databases containing community relations information, personnel rosters, media contacts and mailing addresses.

     

    - Receives visitors, telephone calls and electronic mail.  Receives and screens telephonic queries from representatives of the print and broadcast media and the public and refers such calls accordingly.

     

    - Assists photographer in completing audio-video requests/work orders, printing requests, training requests, etc.

    GS-3: Completion of 1 academic year of post-high school study.

    GS-4: Completion of 2 academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree.

    An academic year of undergraduate education is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in an accredited college or university.

Copy of transcript must include courses of the semester/quarter you are currently enrolled in or student schedule for the upcoming semester verifying at least half-time enrollment status.  If selected, you will be required to provide official college transcripts to verify your educational qualifications prior to reporting for work.
