The Assistant Nurse Manager executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex patient care. They are accountable for adhering to established policies, standards of care and standards of practice and for demonstrating leadership and accomplishments when providing patient care and in developing and implementing programs to improve the delivery of patient care.

Citizenship: Citizen of the United States


Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited or State approved School of Nursing approved by the appropriate State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed.  (BSN Preferred)


Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active and unrestricted license/registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia required.


Required Experience:  

(3) three years of recent, continuous and sustained demonstrated professional and Nursing practice in the Critical Care Nursing 


Preferred Experience:

Leadership/management skills preferred but may be acquired over time under mentorship of Nurse Manager 


Required Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

EDUCATION: Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State agency, and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant. (BSN Preferred)

The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), an accrediting arm of the National League for Nursing or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an accrediting arm of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). FOREIGN EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  To receive credit for education completed outside the United States, you must show proof that the education has been submitted to a private organization that specialized in interpretation of foreign educational credentials and such education has been deemed at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs.
