JOB SUMMARY:

A DFAS (Defense Finance and Accounting Service) career offers you an opportunity to work in an award winning organization and to serve our Nation and those who defend it worldwide.

As a File Clerk (Electronic) with DFAS you will organize, prepare and scan documents.  You will use a computer and software/web based applications to perform various tasks to include scanning, verifying and document retrieval.  You will be responding to email inquiries and performing daily cleaning maintenance on a scanner.

As a File Clerk (Electronic) your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare documents to be scanned by sorting or alphabetizing
  • Verify scanned documents for legibility and 100% retrieval
  • Respond to email inquiries
  • Enter data using various computer programs
  • Confer with customers to resolve issues

Work experience performing clerical, office and filing duties.

 

Best Qualified applicants will be able to scan documents with little to no supervision.


Conditions of employment:

 

1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection.

2. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
