This position is located in the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Secretary (OS), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Office of Special Health Affairs (OSHA), Office of Health Equity in Rockville, MD.

Performs analytical work that contributes to the improvement of Federal public health programs for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN's). 


Plan, develop, monitor, implement and evaluate content or projected public health programs to assess their success in achieving objectives for Tribes and Tribal Health Affairs, some through White House Initiatives.

 

Conducts studies and performs other analytical work related to the planning, development, organization, administration, evaluation, and delivery of public health programs, related to AI/AN's. 

 

Evaluate information/initiate research to validate existing policy, and/or new programs or policies to help HRSA's Bureaus and Offices meet the goals set forth for AI/AN's.

 

Plan and accomplish effective implementation of policies.

 

Plan and develop Public Health Projects.

 

Provide Advisory services for Public Health programs and projects.

 

Establish program evaluation criteria.

 

Evaluate legal compliance and adequacy programs.

 

Solicit cooperation and support to ensure program success.

 

Coordinate community Public Health endeavors.

 

Other responsibilities as assigned or delegated.

Have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, planning, developing, coordinating, evaluating and providing advice and assistance to State or local governments, or to various public, nonprofit, private agencies or organizations on matters relating to public health policy; and providing technical advice and guidance on legislation that affects health programs.

GS-13

Have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, planning, developing, and implementing, to State or local governments, or to various public, nonprofit, private agencies or organizations on matters relating to public health policy; and providing technical advice and guidance on legislation that affects health programs; and providing public health program oversight and monitoring.


There is no education requirement for this vacancy.
