Specialized Experience: To Qualify applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the federal service which includes at least two of the following: recruit candidates for volunteer programs, train volunteers regarding job responsibilities, oversee execution of volunteer assignments, and manage volunteer work schedules.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following are:
* Ability to Direct Operation of a Volunteer Workforce
* Ability to Execute a Volunteer Training Program
* Ability to Communicate in Writing
* Ability to Communicate Orally
There is no positive education requirement for this position.
Education may be used to qualify for this position through one of the following ways:
A. Have 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education OR a master's or equivalent graduate degree related to the occupation. For example: Natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources.
B. Have some specialized experience as described in the Specialized Experience section, but less than one year; and have more than one year of graduate education but less than two years as described in A. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond one year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
Education above the high school level must have been completed in a U.S. college, university, or other educational institution that has been accredited by one of the accrediting agencies or associations recognized by the Secretary, U.S.Department of Education.

Conditions of Employment:
This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license for the duration of employment.
Occassional work on nights, weekends and/or holidays is required.
The incumbent is required to wear a prescribed uniform to perform the daily work.
This position requires a minimum of 24 hours of the following training within the first two years of employment: personal protection, unarmed self-defense, situational evaluation and tactical communication training.
