As a Management Analyst in the Health and Human Services Office of Portfolio Management, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), you will serve as an analyst in the Portfolio, Program, and Program Management (P3M) or Domain Pogram Management Office.

  • Analyze and evaluate management practices and methods, and administrative operations of organizations and functions.
  • Identify best practice and advise organizations leadership on implementation procedures.
  • Analyze and evaluate work processes and policies, and work operations.
  • Devise analytical approach for conducting studies, formulating methodology, and evaluating alternative courses of action.
  • Present reports of findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct data gather using techniques such as quantitative analysis, surveys, interviews, and research.
  • Determine gaps in administrative policies and procedures and recommend procedures or modifications to existing guidance.
  • Compile data and prepare administrative and management reports.

GS-09:  At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service that included utilizing qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessing and improving management processes and systems; assisting in development and implementation studies that address specific problems and challenges; using automated tracking systems and office software programs; preparing administrative documents; and presenting information to others; or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree in a field directly related to the position; or a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.

 

GS-11:  At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service that included utilizing qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessing and improving management processes and systems; conducting studies of an organization work processes, and/or functions; using automated tracking systems and office software programs; preparing administrative documents and reports; and presenting information to others; or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field directly related to the position; or a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level. 

 

GS-12: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service that included conducting studies to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of management practices; planning and directing team studies related to assessing and improving management processes and systems; using automated tracking systems and office software programs; preparing administrative documents and comprehensive reports; and presenting information to others.

 

GS-13: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service that included conducting studies to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of management practices; developing and applying new approaches for conducting studies affecting administrative management; planning and directing team studies related to assessing and improving management processes and systems; using automated tracking systems and office software programs; preparing administrative documents and comprehensive reports; and presenting information to others to gain cooperation.
