Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) experience with keeping a facility in good working condition by establishing scheduled maintenance and repairs; 2) applying engineering principles as it pertains to various facilities systems, i.e., heating, ventilating, air condition systems, structural, roofing, electrical, fire alarm, utility distribution systems, etc; 3) using knowledge and understanding of budgetary policies, procedures to assure that budget forecasts, estimates and submissions conform to requirements; and 4) experience with computer software to include AutoCAD, WINEST and Single Platform Maximo.
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. Applicants should meet the DAWIA Certification requirements for the Facilities Engineering Career Field and be certified at the Level II within 24 months of appointment.
