Assist Media Services Division with a variety of duties that may include: cataloging videotapes, creating and shipping timecode window burns to clients; copying and shipping DVD and other dubs as needed to customers.  Assist with field and studio production work and perform location vidoegraphy, still photography, basic audio recording, and help with location lighting.  With supervision, edits video packages for distribution via social media.  Ships video production gear to field crews and assists with all logistics.

1 year of experience related to the work to be performed or 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. 

Your experience needs to demonstrate the skills and creativity needed to use the tools or equipment of the work. 

Because talent and creative ability are vital to successful work performance, samples of work or other suitable evidence of technical competence will be required.  Unpaid experience that is pertinent should be credited based upon its relevance to the work of this position.  To be qualifying, the work must have provided a general knowledge of the fields of audio visual communication. 

Experience with media products using Final Cut Pro 7 editing software. 

Basic working knowledge of video production techniques, studio production, camera operations, scripting, and the use of common media graphics tools such as Adobe Photoshop. 

Field videography experience beyond personal use. 

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

Upon receipt of your complete application package, a review of your application will be made to ensure you meet the basic qualification requirements.  Your rating will be based on your responses to the Job Specific Questionnaire and the information stated in your resume. If you meet the qualification requirements, you application will be placed in one of three categories:  Best Qualified, Highly Qualified, or Qualified.  Within these categories, applicants eligible for veteran's preference will receive selection priority over non-veterans.    In addition, interviews may be conducted for this position.  The interviews may be conducted on a pass/fail basis or may be scored.  The job specific questions relate to the following knowledge, skills and abilities required to do the work of this position.

 

NOTE: Candidates that successfully obtain an interview will be required to document their knowledge of Final Cut Pro 7 and Adobe After Effective during a hands-on demonstration of skills on a running system.
