The Equipment Manager position is located at Cheyenne Shadows Golf Club, Fort Carson, Colorado.  This is a Regular Full-Time position.  The tour of duty is 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.


Best-Qualified Candidates are those who possess a knowledge of the game of golf and understand how job performance of the position affects the playing conditions of the course.

Prioritizes equipment repair and maintenance work.  Maintains a preventive maintenance program and budget on all equipment and purchases repair parts and replacement supplies.  Communicates with supervisor on maintenance needs or problems.  Schedules, assigns, and directs the work of subordinate employees.  Trains subordinate employees.  Instructs and trains golf course maintenance workers regarding preventive maintenance.  Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and a clean service area.  Inspects, diagnoses, and may conduct repairs on a variety of golf course maintenance equipment (diesel and electric golf carts, trenchers, sweepers, rollers, mowers) and other mechanical equipment.

Demonstrated work experience that includes the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work of the position.  Work experience must include repair work in the type of equipment mentioned above to include the knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession and the ability to drive diverse type vehicles on uneven terrain.

Conditions of employment:


1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection.

2. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

3. 7. May be required to obtain a government driver's license.

8. Satisfactory completion of a physical assessment is required.
