The position is located in the European and African Languages (EUA) division; School of Language Studies (SLS), Foreign Service Institute (FSI).
The incumbent(s) of this position is primarily concerned with assisting the Language Training Supervisors by performing a wide variety of functions directly involved in the development and administration of the French language training programs and in the structured training and development of the staff of the department. On a part-time basis, the incumbent may also serve as a classroom French language and culture instructor and participates in oral proficiency testing as needed.
Note: The Department reserves the right to terminate a conditional offer of employment if the individual does not receive a security clearance within 18 months from the date of the tentative offer letter.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- One year trial period, unless excepted by regulation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Relocation expenses will NOT be paid.
