You must have one year Specialized Experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private/military sector) giving the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position. Specialized experience required for this position is:
- Experience overseeing the editorial review and dispatch of outgoing correspondence;
- An in-depth knowledge of the English language;
- Ability to prioritize the daily flow of material to be dispatched.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
- Knowledge of the organizational structure.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and Security Information programs involving collateral special access, and sensitive compartmental information material, and the storage, controlling and handling, and transmission procedures.

Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. It will be computed by first determining the applicants total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicants education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. The weight of semester and quarter hours have been defined above.
