This position is located at Naval Survace Warfare Center (NSWC) Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (EODTECH), Indian Head, MD.

 

This position is responsible for the physical security of the Navy EODTECH Division.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be a US Citizen.

  • Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation.
  • Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

The duties of an Administrative/Technical Specialist NT-0080-04 may include but are not limited to:

  • Developing plans, preparing written instructions and issuing oral guidance for the protection of property including directives for controlling access and preventing unauthorized access.
  • Conducting security inspections and issues violation notices for security infractions.
  • Making recommendations for in-depth protection systems and monitoring electronic alarm systems.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive Key and Lock Control Program.
  • Conducting oversight for program implementation and process improvements in key control and secure container programs.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:  experience dealing with physical security principles, policies or practices regarding physical measures designed to safeguard personnel; to prevent unauthorized access to equipment and/or facilities and to safeguard them against damage or theft.

OR

A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

An LL.M., if related

 

Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
