1. Degree:economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus.
2. Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
In addition to the Basic Requirements listed above:
For the GS-9 grade level, do you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service? Specialized experience includes the following: 1) experience implementing an economic research study relevant to agriculture; 2) knowledge of advance (graduate level) microeconomic and quantitative analysis; and 3) skill in communicating economic concepts and research results.
For the GS-11 grade level, do you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service? Specialized experience includes the following: 1) experience independently planning, conceptualizing, and implementing an economic research study relevant to agriculture; 2) knowledge of advance (graduate level) microeconomic and quantitative analysis; and 3)skill in communicating economic concepts and research results.
