JOB SUMMARY:

As a Program Analyst in the Planning, Reclassifying, and Training section of the Preparedness Division of the Operations Directorate, within Selective Service System you will plan, organize, and analyze information for the establishment and implementation of training programs designed to support the improvement of Agency mobilization program, policies, and procedures.

The incumbent of the position will at the full performance level perform the following duties:

  • Develops and implements new training programs in a variety of formats to include electronic and web-based training.
  • Researches and analyzes current training programs for State Directors, Reserve Force Officers, and Local, District Appeal, and National Appeal Board Members and suggests and implements improvements to programs.
  • Analyzes management information requirements in support of readiness planning for training programs.
  • Develops and maintains Readiness Plans.
  • Conducts studies to evaluate and  predict success of the Agency's Readiness Plan.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the Agency's Operations and Readiness plans, plus Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) and Disaster Preparedness Policies and training programs.  
  • Interprets policies and procedures as they relate to readiness training programs.

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate:

At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service that included assisting in the development and delivery of a variety of agency/organizational training programs; organizing and maintaining information management systems in order to collect and store data; reviewing course material and content for compliance with training program goals and objectives; assisting in the development and implementation of agency readiness and operational plans; and, providing guidance to individuals on training program policies and procedures 

 

OR

A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.; 

 

OR 

A combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.
