To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, you must meet one of the following requirements:
A. Successful completion of a bachelors degree AND meet one of the following under the Superior Academic Achievement provisions: (1) A grade point average of B (a GPA of 3.0 or higher) for all completed undergraduate courses, or those completed in the last 2 full years of undergraduate study; OR (2) A grade point average of B (a GPA of 3.5 or higher) for all courses in your major field of study, or those courses in your major completed in the last two years of undergraduate study; OR (3) Rank in the upper one-third of your class in the college, university, or major subdivision; OR (4) Membership in a national honor society (other than freshman honor societies) recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. B. One full year of graduate level study, or possess a master's or higher degree, e.g., LL.B., J.D., LL.M., Ph.D, from an accredited institution, in a related field such as human resources, social or behavioral sciences, business or public administration or any other field that provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position. C. One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include activities such as: 1) reviewing request for security clearances or reports of personnel investigations; 2) developing, evaluating, maintaining and/or operating systems, policies, procedures, devices, and methods used for safeguarding information property, personnel, operations and material; and 3) developing and implementing policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons who may have access to sensitive information, material, or work sites. NOTE: This experience must be clearly documented in the work experience block of your resume.
D. Combination of Education and Experience- I have less than the full amount of graduate education described in "B" and less than the amount of experience described in "C," but I have a combination of the type of education described in "B" and the type of experience described in "C." To combine education and experience, first take the number of semester hours or equivalent earned towards a graduate degree and divide by 18 semester hours or equivalent. Then take the number of months of full-time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. (SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS)

Time-in-Grade Requirements: Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade in the Federal service. All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
New employees must serve a one year probationary period.
Conditions of Employment: This position may be designated as essential personnel.
