ORGANIZATIONAL LOCATION:

POSITION DETAILS: Positions May be filled under Permanent, Term or time-limited and/or Temporary appointments.  Positions are filled as vacancies occur.

Salary range:

GS-09:  $67,878 - $80,343

GS-11:  $80,455 - $95,539

Promotion potential:  Positions may be filled at either grade levels.  The highest grade level for this position is GS-11, if selected at the lower grade.

This position has Promotion potential to the GS-11.  Promotion to the next grade level is at Management's discretion and is based on your demonstrated ability to perform the higher level duties, the continuing need for higher level duties, and administrative approval.

Relocation Expenses Paid:

Relocation expenses are authorized and will be paid only if you are a current Federal Employee. You will be required to sign a one-year service agreement. Failure to fulfill the one year service agreement may result in repayment of relocation expenses. 

 

Additional Salary Incentives which a Pharmacist may be eligible for are Appointment-Above-the-minimum and Creditable Service based on Non-Federal experience for Annual Leave Accrual.

  • Selects, procures, prepares and dispenses only those medication that conform to standards of quality for potency, purity, and effectiveness at the time they are administered to or used by the patients.
  • Counsels patients on safe and effective use, including compliance of the prescribed medications.

    You must meet all of the BASIC REQUIREMENTS listed below:

    1. A minimum of a four year bachelor's degree in pharmacy recognized by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (A copy of your transcripts must be provided).

    2. All applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, territory of the united States or the District of Columbia. NOTE: Individuals graduating from approved schools of pharmacy within the last 12 months may be appointed pending licensure/registration. Such appointments may not exceed six months without the employee obtaining licensure/registration.

    In addition to meeting the basic requirements, you must also meet the following minimum requirements for the grade level you wish to be considered for:

    GS-09: Successful completion of a 5-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an approved pharmacy school OR 1 year of professional pharmacy experience equivalent to the GS-07.

    GS-11: Successful completion of a 6-year course of study leading to a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree OR 1 year of professional pharmacy experience equivalent to at least the GS-09.

    Medical Requirement: Applicants must be able to distinguish basic colors.

    HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

    WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT:

    First notification: Once the online questionnaire and resume are received, you will receive an acknowledgement email that your submission was successfully received. Receipt of this email does not confirm receipt of the other required document(s): copy of your license or completed OF-306 Addendum form.
