POSITION DETAILS:

Appointment:  May be filled permanent, term or time-limited or temporary appointments.  Positions are filled as they occur.

Salary range: $90,786.00- $170,000.00 ( Annually)

Salary is negotiable....Other additional compensation which may be available:  Recruitment/Relocation/Retention Incentives; Market Pay (Title 38); Appointment Above the Minimum/Creditable Service Based on non-Federal experience for Annual Leave Accrual. 

Promotion potential:  Yes, to GS-15.

Merit Promotion Position:  Yes

Travel Required:    Yes, to surrounding satellite clinics.  

Supervisory/Managerial Position:  No

Relocation Expenses Paid:  Relocation expenses are authorized and will be paid.  You will be required to sign a one year service agreement.  Failure to fulfill the one year service agreement may result in repayment of relocation expenses.

Duties

This position is located in the Division of Clinical Services, Medical Staff with Crownpoint Healthcare Facility, Crownpoint, NM.   Please ensure you answer all questions and follow all instructions carefully. Errors or omissions may impact your rating or result in you losing consideration for the job.

·        Gives total patient care including prevention, health maintenance, early diagnosis, treatment and follow-up services to patient.

               ·        Assumes responsibilities for the dignosis, care and treatment of patients within their physician

                   speciality area.

·        Conducts clinics making observations appropriate to the patient's underlying disease and treatment plan, including current symptons.

               ·        Assures preparation of appropriate medical records of all patients seen to assure the accumulaton

                  and organization of all pertinent clinical data to provide comprehensive medical care.

·        Refers patients to appropriate medical or other facilities, providing full clinical information for care and diagnostic procedures.

·        Works closely with allied health professionals in the provision of board health program services.

·        Interviews and examines patients.

·        Instructs and counsels patients.
