WHO MAY APPLY:  This vacancy is open to current permanent (career/career-conditional appointments) employees of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) only.

LOCATION:
  This position is located in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Office of the Director, Rockville, Maryland.
 

TYPE OF POSITION:  This position is being filled on a full-time, permanent basis.

PROMOTION POTENTIAL:
  This is a career-ladder position; GS-13 is the full performance level.  

Salary range listed includes locality pay.

If selected for this position, you will:

    • Develop procedures to monitor and document products subject to regulation by CVM as part of life-cycle oversight, including both pre- and post-market phases.
    • Manage resource loads across multiple projects to develop milestones and ensure that they are met in a timely manner.
    • Analyze the status of review projects to develop baseline timeframes as the field matures so that subsequent cycles can come up with a more precise estimate of effort required for completion.
    • Monitor overall work flow and handle staffing for the matrix-managed group, including identifying redundancies or staffing deficits.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for overall status of projects and ensuring that project requirements are met.

Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

GS-12: 52 weeks of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-11 level.

Experience directly related to the position to be filled which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.  Examples of specialized experience includes developing procedures to monitor and document products subject to regulation by CVM as part of the life-cycle oversight, including both pre- and post-market phases; building a knowledge base of each client's business, organization, and objectives; and developing models and providing assistance to the teams to help manage work flow across existing administrative units to balance priorities and obligations.

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENT:  (Must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement)

GS-12:  Applicants must have 52 weeks at the GS-11 or higher.


 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
