The Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) is currently accepting applications under examining authority of 10 U.S.C., Section 2164.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide transportation for special needs children. The bus operated by the employee has a gross vehicle weight of 26,500 pounds and is equipped with a wheelchair lift. It has the capacity of approximately 23 passengers and three wheelchairs. Most trips are within the Fort Jackson community and to off-post schools. When not performing Motor Vehicle (MVO) duties, the employee will assist with Laborer and Custodial services.
Who may be considered: Current permanent Federal civil service employees; former employees with reinstatement eligibility; NAF/AAFES Interchange Agreement elibles and family member employees eligible under Executive Order 12721.
