GS-07: In order to qualify for the GS-07 grade level, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience applying accounting principles, methods, procedures, and techniques to maintain and analyze accounts in a diversified accounting system; and preparing accounting information and recording it into an automated accounting system.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
Category rating and selection procedures will be used for evaluating this position. If you meet the basic qualification requirements, your on-line responses to the vacancy assessment questionnaire will be used to determine the quality and extent of your experience, education, training, etc., for placement in one of the following categories: 1) Best Qualified, 2) Well Qualified and 3) Qualified. Qualified candidates will be assigned a numerical score on a scale of 70-100 and Veterans with preference will be placed at the top of their respective category. KSA 1. Knowledge of accounting principles, methods, procedures, and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of accounts in an accounting system encompassing a number of diversified projects.
KSA 2. Skill in the use of automated accounting systems, including inserting and retrieving information, generating reports, tracking transactions, and analyzing accounts.
KSA 3. Knowledge of payroll terminology and procedures in order to process payroll information and correct errors in payroll data.
