Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on his/her expertise as a Supply Technician. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting the mission goals of the Property Operations Group. Would you enjoy issuing supplies and equipment, performing the disposal of excess property, and performing build-outs of office furniture? Responsibilities include procuring commercial vehicles with the office Fleet Manager for movement of large items associated with employee moves and office build outs; performing furniture moves, assembly/disassembly, and other labor as required, for space management; preparing written documentation regarding possible changes to directives/guidance using regulation related to property management; and other various administrative duties. All applicants must possess one year of specialized experience. To meet specialized experience, your resume must describe experience that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined below: GS-5 - One year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-4 level in the Federal Government. Examples of specialized experience at the GS-4 level include, performing supply and property related duties which include requisitioning, receiving, issuing supplies and equipment, lost or damaged property, and disposal of excess property.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may also qualify on the basis of education as follows: GS-5 -Four years of school above high school. Applicants may qualify by combining education and experience provided the combination of experience and education is equivalent in complexity to the next lower-grade in the Federal Service.


This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience. You must submit a copy of your college transcript (unofficial copy is acceptable) to support your education if you are substituting education for experience. Transcripts must include the name of the college or university and date the degree was conferred. 

Foreign Education: To receive credit for education completed outside the United States, applicants must show proof that the education has been submitted to a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials and such education has been deemed at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

Category rating and selection procedures will be used for evaluating this position. If you meet the basic qualification requirements, your on-line responses to the vacancy assessment questionnaire will be used to determine the quality and extent of your experience, education, training, etc., for placement in one of the following categories: 1) Best Qualified, 2) Well Qualified and 3) Qualified. Qualified candidates will be assigned a numerical score on a scale of 70-100 and Veterans with preference will be placed at the top of their respective category. The assessment questionnaire will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete. Applicants will be further evaluated on the following "Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Ability to operate government vehicles and forklifts used to transport personal property and other office equipment. 2. Skill in reading and interpreting Auto CAD space drawings, designs, and floor plans in order to construct systems furniture. 3. Knowledge of property management regulations and inventory control methods for analysis. 4. Interpersonal communication skills.

WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT:
