As the Director of Quality Management in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), Office of the Center Director you will administer or advise on work concerned with assuring the quality of work transactions, business processes, and delivery of services to carry out CDRH programs and functions.

  • Provides scientific, policy, and managerial leadership and direction to multiple offices comprising the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH)
  • Provides strategic leadership and vision for the development and implementation of quality management program with CDRH.
  • Directs CDRH quality management efforts and oversees the establishment of best practices and guidelines in the area of quality management.
  • Oversees the implementation of process improvements and programs to ensure compliance with practices and procedures.
  • Plans and organizes the Center's quality management audits, investigations, and analyses.

GS-15: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service utilizing qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessing and improving management, processes, and systems; applying laws, regulations, and policies associated with the regulation of medical products; overseeing the development, implementation, monitoring, and auditing of a quality management program; and providing advice and consultation on medical device and radiological health policies.

Conditions of Employment:

 

1. Time-in-Grade: Career or career-conditional current and former Federal employees who select to apply under merit promotion procedures must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade level of this position.
