The Financial Literacy and Outreach Analyst position is located in the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Office of Consumer Protection (OCP). The incumbent serves as a technical advisor for financial literacy and education. The incumbent assists in the development and implementation of financial literacy and education policy and programs.

- Prepares education materials and meets with consumer organizations and other consumer advocate groups to stay current with emerging consumer protection issues.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and provides technical assistance with respect to financial literacy and outreach intimates. Recommends policy options and initiatives for presentation to the OCP Director and the NCUA Board.
- Analyzes, reviews, and implements initiatives to ensure the objectives, approaches, and practices conform to current national and agency requirements and policies.
- Analyzes and evaluates the need for policy initiatives in financial literacy and outreach and identifies deficiencies in existing policies and regulations.
- Advises the Director of Consumer Compliance Policy and Outreach and other senior NCUA officials regarding the need for new or improved policies.
- May represent the agency on working groups, task forces, committees, or at conferences and other events iinvolving financial literacy and outreach matters.

One full year of specialized experience equivalent to CU/GS-12 level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as knowledge of the credit union industry, consumer protection and consumer compliance laws and regulations in order to analyze, evaluate, and provide technical assistance with respect to financial literacy and outreach initiatives relating to the financial industry AND experience representing the organization at meetings, conferences and other events involving financial literacy and outreach.

SALARY: Pay will be set using NCUA's Compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes a locality rate of 24.87 percent for the Alexandria, VA geographical area.
