    GS 13:

    • Develops and maintains technical investigative IT systems supporting helpdesk, technology sharing, training, standards development, solution verification and database management operations.
    • Provides informational assistance, coordination and technical guidance to state, local and other federal law enforcement (LE) organizations.
    • Ensures the integrity, standardization, and accessibility of programmatic data.
    • Monitors contractor efforts in developing, maintaining and enhancing computer application software.
    • Interacts effectively with LE personnel, management, co-workers and the communications industry to ensure that work performed correlates to defined objectives.

    GS 14:

     

    • Manages technical investigative IT systems supporting helpdesk, technology sharing, training, standards development, solution verification and database management operations.
    • Provides informational assistance, coordination and technical guidance to lower grade ITS personnel, state, local and other federal law enforcement (LE) organizations.
    • Responsible for the security, integrity, standardization, policy compliance and accessibility of programmatic data.
    • Oversees contractor efforts in developing, maintaining and enhancing computer applications software.
    • Interacts effectively with LE personnel, the communications industry and others to meet immediate and long-term customer satisfaction and other operational objectives.

    GS 14: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 13 grade level.

    Specialized Experience:

    • Experience in conducting and/or managing electronic surveillance operations.
    • Skill in evaluating technical electronic surveillance solutions for existing and emerging services and technologies.
    • Knowledge of IT systems/applications, systems analysis and equipment operations in providing support to users by developing applications and programs. 

     


    Applicants must possess a valid driver's license for state of residence, as well as obtain a government license for the operation of government vehicles, if selected for this position.

    Some travel may be required.

    This position may occasionally require shift work evening, night, and weekend).

    Policy has been implemented wherein support employees entering a position through a competitive OR non-competitive action may be precluded from moving to another position within the Bureau by means of reassignment or change to a lower grade for a minimum of 12 months.  This policy does not apply to probationary employees.  Probationary employees are generally precluded from being considered for all job opportunities until their 12-month probationary period has concluded.
