About the Position: The Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) is Army's new approach to delivering healthcare to our soldiers and their family members. The PCMH model creates medical homes, giving patients and providers the chance to get to know one another better so that personalized care plans can be developed. The PCMH practice is responsible for providing for all of a patient's health care needs or appropriately arranging care with other qualified professionals. May require shift work and/or work on rotating shifts to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays and in other situations.

Business travel requirements: 5% annually

    You will screen and interview patients and perform psychological and bio-psychological evaluations using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to clinical psychology. Conduct psychological and psychometric assessments and formulate behavioral health interventions appropriate to a primary care setting and assist with implementing and monitoring treatment plans with the Patient Care Manager (PCM) and Behavioral health care manager (BHCM). Use objective and measurable outcomes to evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments if appropriate. Provide follow-up care and on-going consolation services to those who require on-going monitoring, including relapse-prevention education. Develop specific clinical pathways or best practice programs for targeted patient groups to include patients with acute stress symptoms and PTSD.

    General Schedule

  • BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Degree: Satisfactory completion of all requirements for an APA-approved doctoral degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required. You must list your educational institution, degree conferred, concentration, month/year of achievement, and internship data on your resume.

    2. Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level. Specialized experience at the next lower level is defined as: providing psychological evaluations and implementing and monitoring treatment plans.

    3. Licensure: Applicants must possess current, valid, unrestricted license as a Psychologist from the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. You must list your licensure, license number, and the licensing body.

    In order to meet credentialing Requirements an APA-Accredited Internship is required.
