The Pathways Intern positions that are available are located in several offices of the Farm Service Agency (FSA) located in Washington, DC.
The duties of the position may include, but are not limited to:

Students who are currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis at a qualifying educational institution in a certificate, degree, or diploma program.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND FINGERPRINT CHECK: Selection and retention in this position is contingent upon a successfully adjudicated FBI National Criminal History Check (fingerprint check) and a background investigation.

Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be meet the definition of a student - must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited technical or vocational school, two-year or four-year college or university, graduate or professional school. Individuals who are enrolled must be taking at least a half-time academic course load leading to a degree or certificate.
You must submit transcripts showing at least 2 years of education above high school as well as proof of currently being enrolled in an educational program.
You may submit an unofficial or official transcript, or a list of courses from the institution including grades earned, completion dates, and quarter or semester hours earned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR GS-04:
Applicants must have completed 2 years of post-high education or an associate degree. OR
Any experience/training in your resume related to the duties listed above.
Foreign education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program. All academic degrees or course work must be completed in an educational institution that has obtained accreditation from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Deputy Administrator for Farm Programs (DAFP)
DAFP is responsible for overseeing and implementing policies and procedures that regulate the delivery of federal farm programs.
Office of Civil Rights (OCR)
OCR is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction in the development and implementation of civil rights policies, programs and procedures. OCR responsibilities extend to FSA Headquarters and Field Operations.
Office of External Affairs (OEA)
OEA is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of FSA's Executive Secretariat, Public Affairs, Communications and Legislative Liaison branches. OEA also assists the administrator in communicating FSA programs and services to producers, landowners, and across the country.
Acquisition Management Division (AMD)
AMD provides procurement guidance to customers throughout the procurement process, to include: acquisition planning, development of acquisition documents, and procuring of services or supplies. AMD ensures that all established procurement laws, regulations, policies and procedures are adhered to while providing acquisition solutions in support of the FFAS mission area.
Emergency Preparedness Division (EPD)
EPD serves as the coordinator and liaison for FFAS in the areas of emergency preparedness and management, personnel security, and physical security programs. EPD plays a vital role in creating a safe environment through the continuous vetting of federal and contractor workforces, safety and physical security assessments.
Management Service Division (MSD)
MSD serves as a multi-functional center of excellence, providing the FFAS customer base with a wide variety of operational and administrative services and support, such as: Leasing, Directives, Personal Property, Printing, Records Management, and Space and Facilities.
Human Resources Division (HRD)
HRD provides high quality, mission-driven, and customer-focused human resources services to support the FFAS mission area. HRD services include: strategic planning, employee relations, policy, recruitment, and employee development.
Deputy Administrator for Farm Loan Programs (DAFLP)
DAFLP is responsible for making direct and guaranteed farm ownership (FO) and operating loans (OL) to family-size farmers and ranchers who cannot obtain commercial credit from a bank, Farm Credit System institution, or other lender. FSA loans can be used to purchase land, livestock, equipment, feed, seed, and supplies. Our loans can also be used to construct buildings or make farm improvements.
Office of Budget and Finance (OBF)
OBF provides financial advisory services in areas such as budget formulation, budget execution, policy and procedures, training and education, etc.
