Supervisor issues instructions on work sequences, procedures, methods, and deadlines, and relies on the incumbent to assure that other members of the group carry out work assignments. Supervisor is available to provide information or decisions regarding problems that may arise during work. Overall work operations are reviewed for status and progress, causes of delays, quality, and results achieved.
Serves as working leader of three or more employees in accomplishing trades and labor work. The highest level of non-supervisory work led is Food & Beverage Attendant, NA-7401-03.
Leads the work of Food and Beverage attendants in the preparation of fast food. Works with other members of the shift, setting pace, demonstrating proper work methods, conducting on-the-job training, and communicating work assignments to the workers being lead. Checks work in progress. Ensures that safety, security, and good housekeeping rules are followed. Insures that needed supplies and materials are available. Answers workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, and instructions. Provides information to supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall operations.
Collects sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons, and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Keeps work area clean and orderly.
Bakes various items, sets up coffee makers and brews various coffees, i.e., espresso. Sets up counters and display cases with condiments and baked goods. Prepares specialty hot and cold drinks, serves customers. Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events conducted at off-premise locations.
Sets up food service counters and steam tables with hot and cold food and beverage. Prepares fruit and vegetable salads, portions out food. Checks food during cooking to prevent overcooking. Prepares sandwiches and box lunches. Unloads trucks and places contents in proper storage and use areas. Cleans floors, walls and windows in kitchen, dining and storage areas.
Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds.
May be exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures. Exposed to cuts, burns, and danger of slipping on wet floors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
