The Wilmington, Delaware VA Medical Center is currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Technician (Phlebotomist), GS-0645-05, to work in their Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department. Tour of duty will be 8:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m.

The incumbent serves as a Medical Technician in Phlebotomy at the VA Medical Center, Wilmington, Delaware, and works under the direct supervision of the Supervisory Medical Technologist.
Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Position Description Title/PD#: (Medical Technician)
Physical Requirements: The work requires manual dexterity, visual acuity, regular and extensive and recurring physical exertion such as standing for long periods, bending, stooping, stretching, lifting moderately heavy supply items and small equipment and walking on a regular basis. The ability to work under stressful conditions when the demands for accuracy and specific reporting results are necessary.
Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-05 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-04 level.

Specialized Experience:
"Applicants must have One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-04) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
