The mission of the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Programs team is to maximize the physical, emotional and social development of the Navy family. FFR enables a ready Navy force through its Fleet Readiness, Family Readiness and Housing Programs. We service all non-appropriated fund (NAF) employees who work for Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) and Bachelor Housing (BH) throughout the Fleet and Family Readiness Program for the Naval District Washington (NDW) Region.

Leads and performs the set up and/or break down of the kitchen including the “break out” of food needed for the meal period, equipment needed to perform related tasks and routine cleaning to maintain kitchen sanitation.
Makes recommendations to the Manager/Assistant Manager as to inventory needs, staffing needs and equipment needs to maintain productivity.
Must be skilled in basic food service to set the pace for the staff and perform with a high proficiency a variety of tasks such as grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, deep frying french fries, making pizza and pasta and, while regulating temperature, remove and serve orders directly to the customer when done.
Takes orders, tenders transactions, returns proper change and serves meals, draft beer and sodas.
Leads a staff of Food Service Workers NA-7408-02.
Will be a facilitator/trainer for the Safe Serve ensuring that all food service personnel are current on training requirements.
Works with the Manager/Assistant Manager to communicate procedural decisions made by managers, relate concerns on procedures from workers to managers and work on maintaining and advising coworkers on policies and instructions that are set.
Ensuring workers are actively maintaining their productivity, checking on work in process and reporting to the Manager/Asst. Manager of work progress.
Ensuring sanitation rules, safety rules and housekeeping rules are met as well as reporting to the Manager/Asst. Manager on overall work operations and problems.
Required to collect money, operate a cash register and prepare necessary documentation, Daily Activity Report (DARs) for cash receipts and change fund accountability.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
