General engineer involved in the design, development, acquisition, use, validation and modification of full-scale, functional hardware/software threat simulations and foreign threat systems.
Develop theoretical methods, techniques and analytical processes to measure, calculate, and estimate the characteristics and capabilities of foreign threat systems and functional hardware/software simulations of threat systems.
Define specifications for hardware/software simulators, initiate procurement actions, and exercise responsibility for technical performance of contracts to develop and modify these simulators, and acquire actual threat systems.
Exercise technical management for design, development, acquisition, modification, and validation parameter measurements of complex threat systems.
Communicate, establish, and manage relations with government agencies and industrial contractors involved in production and use of intelligence and threat simulators/systems.
Utilize hardware/software simulators to measure hardware and software performance for validation purposes.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: (1) Experience with a wide range of general engineering to include Science and Technology (S&T) intelligence analysis techniques and design methodologies as they relate to hardware/software representation of a foreign threat system/capability for acquiring an actual foreign weapon system or/for the production and maintenance of Simulator Design Definition (SDD) documents for assigned threat simulators. (2) Provide technical management for design, development, acquisition, modification, use, and validations parameter measurements of complex foreign threat systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11).
