Trouble shoot and repair a wide variety of electronic components used on navigation equipment, radio and radar altimeters, direction finders, identification, transmitters, receivers, control and indicating devices, fire control radars, etc. Make routine adjustments, calibrations and tests on moderately complex components and sub-assemblies of electronic equipment. Install components of electronic systems such as UHF or VHF tactical radios and associated control consoles, tactical data units, search and weather radar, ECM, VTAS, Datalink, Fire Control, Side Looking Radar, navigation, and identification devices in aircraft hook units to cabling. Operate computerized automatic test equipment to test and troubleshoot various components of major electronic systems.
REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Incumbents of drug testing designated positions will be subject to random testing. Drug test results will be provided to the employing activity/command.
Selectee will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position.
