This position is located in Systems Administration, Office of Information Systems (OIS), Chief Administrative Office, United States Capitol Police (USCP). This position directly supports OIS and the USCP mission and serves as the Headquarters (HQ) IT Support Lead.

This position performs support duties as directed by the Associate Director for Systems Operations for USCP users at HQ, communications centers and the Command Center. Provides support for end users and new employees in the Headquarters building by provisioning computers that operate using Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 with MS Office 2010 or 2016.
Performs preventative maintenance. Installs approved equipment and software; provides technical assistance for relocations and moves. Creates, updates, and tracks service call requests.
Provides support and management of the computers and computer applications within the Command Center and communications centers. Works with users to gather change requests. Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents. Provides approved change requests to the vendor for implementation. Uses a full understanding of the operational needs of Command Center and communications center staff and all the interdependencies of the systems contained within.
Provides end user and technical support for the following systems: Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system; Command Center Applications; and Case Management System (CMS).
Serves as the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for the CAD and CMS systems. In this capacity, acts as liaison to the application vendor, managing the vendor's tasks, task timelines, vendor's budget, and takes input from the applications users to make improvements to the applications or systems changes.
