Reviews, collects, compiles, monitors, validates, and analyzes a variety of narrative information/statistical data needed in formulation/presentation of NIP/MIP program/budget.
Processes material requests, enters financial data into SABRS and other financial systems as required, and reconciles monthly reports. Oversees Defense Travel System (DTS) travel lines of accounting and associated funding for all appropriations and execution years. Manages the government purchase card program. Responsible for accuracy and completeness of budget execution.
Selectee must complete a Special Background investigation and receive a favorable adjudication by a determining authority. A Top Secret security clearance is a requirement of this position and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to obtain and maintain this required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal. This position is in the excepted service. Non-DCIPS applicants selected for a DCIPS position must acknowledge in writing, prior to actual appointment to the DCIPS position, that the position for which he or she has been selected is in the excepted service and covered by DCIPS. Federal employees currently serving in the competitive service must also acknowledge that they will voluntarily leave the competitive service by accepting an offer of employment for a DCIPS position. This acknowledgement is necessary as movement between the excepted service and competitive service may be limited if the employee does not possess competitive status.

Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Performing financial formulation, presentation, justification, obligation, and expenditure of funds and recommends redistribution of resources; 2) Developing and performing analysis and tasks relating to accounting, budget and budget execution; 3)Generating daily and monthly financial reports; 4)Executing purchase card program; 5) Overseeing Defense Travel System (DTS) travel lines of accounting and associated funding
This is a Financial Management Level (II) certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines.
