Incumbent will serve as a construction contract modification specialist engaged in the full scope of work related to the preparation and issuance of construction contract modifications. Prepare Government cost estimates for contract modifications involving expenditures over $25,000 and work cost estimates of contract modifications under $25,000. Review requests for contract modifications to determine the nature of changes, extent of changes, and propriety of justification. Perform negotiations with contractors and prepare documentation summarizing changes, issues and/or resolutions with contractors. Incumbent will coordinate with a variety of interested parties, such as contractors, local government officials, state and local environmental agencies and private landowners.

Experience required:

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Applying engineering theory, principles, methods, and techniques related to contract administration, engineering design and construction, along with an understanding of the various construction trades and crafts. Applying practical knowledge of construction contracting procedures, and contract administration such as contract modification, cost estimating and conducting negotiations.
