SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
SUITABILITY, CLEARANCE & REQUIREMENTS: A background security investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicants successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.
OTHER: Incumbent is required, as an incidental duty, to operate a government-owned or leased motor vehicle, in the performance of duties; therefore, a valid drivers license is required. GS-6: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level which involve preparing and reviewing correspondence; assist in travel arrangements and processing voucher; arranging for conference, meeting, and traning sessions; ensuring that all requests for action or information are acted upon and due dates are met; assisting with budget activities; processing time and attendance records; and maintaining office filing systems.
GS-5: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level which involve answering telephone calls and greeting visitors; serving as a mail clerk; processing time and attendance records; preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining office filing systems; OR 4 years of successfully completed education above the high school level.

PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the experience or education requirements, applicants must show possession of typing and office automation skills. Applicants may meet the typing requirement by passing the appropriate test, presenting a certificate of proficiency from a school or other organization authorized to issue such certificate by the Office of Personnel Management local office or by self-certifying their proficiency.

Qualifying education from colleges and universities in foreign countries must be evaluated in terms of equivalency to that acquired in U.S. colleges and universities.
