This position is located at the U.S. Army Health Clinic, Laboratory Section, Schofield Barracks, HI on the island of Oahu. Oahu is the third largest island in the Hawaiian chain. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience processing laboratory specimen, performing phlebotomy procedures, performing routine laboratory testing, and entering and/or retrieving laboratory data from a healthcare computer system.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
· Skill in performing phlebotomy duties
· Skill in Laboratory testing
· Skill in record keeping/clerical duties

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects appropriate to the position to be filled.

A combination of experience and education which when computed equals at least 100%. (Reminder: a percentage of your coursework must be directly related to the position being filled.) To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours completed beyond your second year of education by 60. Add the percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.
Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute for experience.
