The Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center is recruiting for part-time, Urgent Care Physicians. As an Urgent Care Physician, you will provide emergent medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured Veterans. The facility is seeking individuals who possess good organizational skills which enable completion of work, a demonstrated ability to assume leadership in a patient centered program, and the ability to establish effective communication with patients, families, visitors and members of the interdisciplinary team. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Work Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, and holidays; 8-10 hour shifts, Days and Hours vary and are subject to change based off of the needs of the Columbus VA Ambulatory Care Center.
Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting (45 lbs and over); reaching above shoulder; use of fingers; walking (3 hours per day); standing (6 hours per day); kneeling (2 hours per day); both legs required; ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; near vision correctable at 13" to 16"; far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other; ability to distinguish basic colors; hearing (aid permitted).
Preferred Experience: Must be board certified or eligible in internal medicine or other specialty that meets the needs of the VA Health Care System for this position. Emergency Room or Urgent Care Center experience required.
