About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is assigned to HQDA, ODCS, G-2, CI, HUMINT, DISC & SEC DIR, PLANS & PROGRAMS, Pentagon, Arlington, VA. Duties are performed at Fairfield, PA, in Adams County. The incumbent serves as Security Specialist and Special Security Officer (SSO) for the Continuity of Operations Site (COOP), in the site Special Security Office (SSO).

1. Must possess a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility or the ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret Clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) for access to SCI.
2. IAW Change 3, AR 600-85 Alcohol & Drug Abuse Prevention & Control Program incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
3. This position is designated as KEY, meaning the position cannot be vacated during war or national emergency without seriously impairing the mission. Incumbent of this position has unique or scarce managerial or technical skills required by the wartime mission and cannot be held by someone in reserve status. Incumbent may be required to perform under difficult physical conditions.
4. May be required to work additional duty hours during crisis or due to tasking or to take part in readiness exercises.
5. TDY required approximately 5% of duty time. At management's discretion may require TDY within Continental United States during crisis or tasking to take part in readiness exercises.
6. Individual Medical Requirements and Information: Personnel must be physically capable of withstanding the rigors of an austere environment during a high stress incident. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
