Summary of Duties:
· Applies expert knowledge and mastery of CPI techniques and advanced engineering methods, theories &
standards to plan, organize, and lead strategy alignment and transformational CPI initiatives in AFRL under
broadly-stated guidelines
· Independently assesses and applies knowledge of AFRL core and enabling processes, Enterprise
priorities/objectives, and key supporting operations to perform gap analysis, identify CPI priorities, and
provide guidance on planning, setting milestones, and measurable targets to report progress
· Reviews major products being produced by HQ AFRL for message content and accuracy
· In addition, establishes & maintains effective communications and collaboration activities; documents
planning and programming decisions in appropriate formats; prepares and delivers oral presentations such
as, briefings; conducts training sessions, consultations and/or strategy sessions with other staff functions and
activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial issues and manage change control
· Supports AFRL HQ processes & products as part of AFRL/XP and works closely with other HQ divisions
· Continuous Process Improvement Specialist Green Belt certification highly desired, and desired Black Belt
certification within one year of acceptance of position

Specialized Experience:
You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the DR-02/ GS-12/13 (or higher grade) within the federal government, non-federal, military service, or private industry, or equivalent under other pay systems.
Specialized experience is experience in performing or assisting in the performance of root cause analysis, problem decomposition or process improvement using engineering techniques. The incumbent must be able to integrate the results of disparate studies and analyses into coherent recommended courses of action for presentation to senior AFRL leadership.
