As a Youth Program Specialist, the incumbent works with little supervision from the IMCOM G9 Child and Youth Program Director as a subject matter expert in the area of Youth Programs. From a headquarters perspective and level, provides subject matter support in developing, training and assisting Garrison School Age Services to meet accreditation criteria and to appropriately implement established and regulated child and youth programs. Provides technical assistance and training to implement 4-H and Boys and Girls Club of America mandated curricula into baseline programming; assists Garrisons in implementing the Youth Program Evaluation Rating Scale.
Assists in the development of CYSS Army Child & Youth Program Assistant training requirements. Provides CYPA training to youth program staff upon request from Region. Coordinates the revitalization and restructuring of Region Teen Panels with CYS Coordinators. Provides assistance to region CYSS staff to plan and execute Youth Leadership Forums (YLF) by ensuring training plan is relevant and updated, facilitating groups during YLF and participates in compiling after action reports. Serves as a team member of the HQ annual unannounced CYSS inspection of facilities and programs.
