SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The purpose of this position is to serve as the wing Program Manager for the Inspector General Evaluation Management System (IGEMS), Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) and Air Force Gatekeeper (GKS) software programs or most current automated systems.

Skilled in the ability to plan, organize, and develop projects; make recommendations on substantive operating programs; and negotiate effectively with others to accept and implement recommendations where the proposals involve substantial resources. Experienced in adapting precedents or existing strategies to meet unusual needs, special demands, and determine feasible solutions to meet mission requirements. Skilled in executing inspections, new programs, and, skilled in developing, interpreting, and implementing inspector general program policies. Experienced in planning and organizing assigned programs, estimating unit resources, capabilities, and objectives; and, coordinating with staff and line management personnel to resolve conflicts. Experiences included informing supervisors of potentially controversial findings, issues, or problems with widespread impact. Experienced in completing projects, evaluations, or reports; and knowledgeable of organizational goals, guidelines, and effectiveness required to achieve intended objectives. Experienced in identifying research trends and patterns, developing new methods and criteria, or recommending changes to complete the required planning and programming requirements. Experiences may have included addressing difficult and sensitive issues based on variations in the nature of the processes evaluated, the diverse missions of the units assigned, and resource limitations. Experienced in researching, cross-checking information, analyzing, and interpreting data to obtain accurate and relevant information. Skilled in presenting recommendations and proposals for refining work methods and techniques for resolution of deficiencies or issues. Competent to meet with senior military and civilian leadership, high-ranking managers to include commanders, staff judge advocate, higher headquarters Inspector General representatives, other military service Inspector General representatives, other statutory Inspector General representatives, or other external agencies such as, representatives of the local community and private support organizations, state and local government authorities, or attorneys on an ad-hoc basis.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or General Education Development diploma (GED - Army Enlisted Only) is mandatory. The school work should include completed courses in math, English grammar and composition, speech, psychology, and general science is preferred. Completed higher education academic courses from an accredited business, civilian or military technical school, junior college, undergraduate college or university are optimum. Completed academic courses may include business management, human resources development, English grammar and composition, speech, statistics, public administration, human resources administration, organizational development, public administration, and behavioral social sciences.
MILITARY TECHNICIAN COMPATIBILITY POSITION: Prior to placement in this position, the selected candidate must be assigned to a valid position in the unit of employment, and be assigned militarily in DAFSC 8I000
