The ideal candidate for this Pathways at the GS-04, must have completed two full academic years of post-high school study, or have an associate's degree. Two full academic years is the number of credit hours determined by the college, university, or school to represent two years of full-time study.
To qualify for the GS-04 based on your experience, your resume must describe at least six months of general experience and six months specialized experience. General experience is defined as practice of interpersonal relations skills with the general public. Specialized experience which is defined as providing assistance to visitors in a park, recreation, or conservation area. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-03).
