· Perform and enforce the full range of police officer duties within the military installation. Apprehend and detain which entails carrying a firearm, mirandizing suspects, preserving evidence and testifying in court as it pertains to enforcing regulations on a military installation.
· Serve as a Security Forces Dispatcher for the installation. Dispatch police units to scenes of crimes, accidents and natural disasters.
· Perform the full range of Base Entry Controller duties; ensuring individuals requesting access to the installation have the proper identification credentials before entering.
· Perform the full range of duties for defending protection level resources; serve as a restricted area entry controller and immediate visual assessment sentry providing surveillance for sensitive, restricted, and limited access areas.
10. Must be able to operate all Security Forces Vehicles and installed equipment. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position.

17. This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.

Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DoD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
