This is a FLEX position with the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Veterinary Treatment Facility. The (SJ AFB VTF) is a high-paced, high-volume clinic with in-house blood work, radiograph, and ultrasound capabilities. A Veterinary Medical Officer is primarily responsible for wellness appointments including routine vaccinations and other preventative care, as well as limited sick-call appointments for common ailments such as ear infections and skin disease.
Salary is pro-rated based on a 40 hour work week. Hourly pay is $35.94- $40.73.
The days of the week scheduled will be between Monday-Thursday, no weekend work and the clinic is closed on Fridays. Days of the week worked may vary from week to week depending on applicant's availability.

Performs professional veterinary work that involves the maintenance of wellness in a population of privately owned animals. Executes duties in accordance with standardized initiatives and policies. Conditions of Employment:

Minimum Qualifications*:
1. Possess a degree of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree, i.e. Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), obtained at a school or college of veterinary medicine accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA).
2. Possess a state license to practice veterinary medicine.
