Responsible for operational and program management for assuring the implementation, administration, maintenance, and operation of all computing service platforms and the proactive monitoring of the FDIC enterprise system environments including VMware, Windows Server, Midrange UNIX and Linux) and z/OS (Mainframe); Storage Subsystem Operation; and Capacity Management.
Develops and follows policies, procedures, standards and guidelines and is responsible for the coordination of implementation, administration and maintenance activities as necessary with network, storage, servers and software throughout the Corporation in support of delivery of computing services and providing centralized situational awareness to the FDIC.

1. Knowledge of applying industry best practices and knowledge of Data Center Operations policies and procedures.
2. Knowledge of implementing and administering maintenance, operation, and security of Windows Network Operating System 2008 and 2012 software, Active Directory (AD) 2012 and Microsoft BackOffice software (SQL, SCCM, Exchange and IIS).
3. Knowledge of implementing and administering maintenance, operation, and security of SUN Solaris and Red Hat Linux Operating System softwares, and significant platform software (such as Oracle’s Enterprise Manager, Grid, RMAN, RAC, Portal and Web Services).
4. Knowledge of implementing and administering maintenance, operations, and security of Storage Area Networks (SANs) with a concentration on high-end EMC VMAX series storage arrays.
5. Knowledge of applying availability and performance monitoring, as well as capacity planning principles and methods.
