This position is located at the Martinsburg, WV VA Medical Center in VISN 5. The Martinsburg VA medical center is a Level 1C complexity facility providing care to our Nation's Veterans. The medical center provides comprehensive health care through primary care, inpatient medicine, surgery, psychiatric, domiciliary, and a long-term care unit. Martinsburg, WV VA Medical Center has seven Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in Cumberland, MD, Hagerstown, MD, Fort Detrick, MD, Harrisonburg, VA, Stephens City, VA, Petersburg, WV and Franklin WV.

The Physician is directly accountable to the Chief of Medicine. The physician will spend a majority of time providing inpatient/outpatient consultation, performing EMG's, reading NVC's and Compensation and Pension exams. The incumbent will oversee the Neurology program. The incumbent may also be assigned to perform other clinical duties as assigned within the service.
Tour of Duty: 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Physical Requirements:
The work requires some physical exertion including periods of walking, standing, regular and recurring bending, stooping, lifting heavy objects such as assisting patients on and off examination tables.
Basic Requirements:

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
