The Data Analytics Team Director is responsible for providing management, direction and oversight to data request fulfillment, development of responses to complex inquiries, large scale analytical studies, modeling, statistical analysis, business intelligence, forecasting and complex segregation. The work includes establishing and maintaining a dashboard and visualizations, identifying trends and potential risks within the student financial assistance portfolio, and creating proactive and predictive models for the end to end portfolio of student aid. The Director is a key advisor to FSA senior leaders, promoting the use of data analytics for decision-making and ensuring that the benefits of using data in support of decision-making are known and understood. The Director advises the Chief Data Officer on issues with a high level of controversy or significant long range effects. The Director is also responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for the Data Analytics Team and for obtaining and effectively using resources to deliver on commitments.
